Mechabellum is free until April 8th, it is quite amazing

Mechabellum is a new mecha PC game that has been released quite a while back near the end of 2024. This old-new title looks like quite a blast to play, both figuratively and literally, and it is currently free for those able to try it out. The Mecha genre needs more love, and it is very cool to see indie developers giving new titles for fans to try. There is a catch however, the offer ends soon in April 8th, and after that you won’t be able to play it. Keep in mind that Mechabellum has live service elements on it and with a price tag. Mechabellum is epic

The flow of the game is that of an auto battler with plethora of choices to make. There is a chat feature that can be disabled in case you wish to avoid the sweatiness of the competitive aspect. Even with that, players claims that the competitive scene of Mechabellum is very chill, which is good. It is important to note that usually, this tends to change as the game becomes more popular.

For those who are tired of online gaming, this title might not be for them, but it does offer some single player content that many would appreciate. It is understandable to not want to deal with any sort of ladder or anything silly that ties to any addictive gaming pattern. Games nowadays have devolved into over tuned competitive messes that only appeal to the so called “pros”.

Indies do not care about them, and balancing happens in such a way that the game can remain novel and fun. Novelty is an important factor and uniqueness is being lost from the medium, indies are doing their best to resurrect this stagnant medium that corporate entities have defiled.
