List of Winners in the BAFTA Games Awards 2025 Revealed

The BAFTA Games Awards 2025 took place on Tuesday, April 8 in London which celebrated excellence on videogames based on a wide variety of categories and this year the list of candidates included acclaimed titles such as Astro Bot, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 and Still Wakes the Deep with each having eight, eleven and eight nominations respectively. But amidst the competition, the title to come out with the most number of wins was Astro Bot with a total of five BAFTA awards including Best Design, Best Family Game, and Best Game.

Other games with high number of nominations as well as wins in this year’s BAFTA Games Awards were Still Wakes the Deep and Helldivers 2 with each securing three and two wins respectively.

Best Narrative: Metaphor: Refantazio

Best New Intellectual Property: Still Wakes the Deep

Best Performer in a Leading Role: Alex Newman (Still Wakes the Deep)

Best Performer in a Supporting Role: Karen Dunbar (Still Wakes the Deep)

Best Technical Achievement: Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2

The winners at the BAFTA Game Awards 2024 were Baldur’s Gate 3 (with a total of five wins including Best Game), Alan Wake 2, Super Mario Bros. Wonder and Viewfinder.

BAFTA had also recently revealed Shenmue as the most influential video game of all time, based on a public poll which had quite a bit of baffling reactions across the internet. And although iconic series’ like GTA, Half Life and Doom made the list of the most influential title, the top spot was eventually won by Sega’s 1999 action-adventure game.
