Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Getting Hardcore Difficulty Mode Next Week

Developer Warhorse Studios has announced that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is about to get an added difficulty titled Hardcore mode in next week, so if you wanted more challenge in the medieval action RPG title, you’ll definitely get your hands full with this upcoming new difficulty. The developers have also revealed the list of perks or in-game penalties which will come with the bonus difficulty, making the player handicapped in several crucial ways in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

Here are all of the perks that’ll come with the game’s hardcore mode:

  • Numbskull
  • Somnambulant
  • Bad Back
  • Picky Eater
  • Bashful
  • Sweaty
  • Menace
  • Hangry Henry
  • Punchable Face
  • Heavy Footed

From the names themselves, we can assume each of these perks to introduce major negative status effects in the game, which will result in a more challenging or even frustrating experience for players. It seems the new difficulty is probably geared towards players who have already completed Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 multiple times and are looking for further in-game challenges. But nonetheless, the Hardcore mode will surely inject new life into the game for most players.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is a medieval Europe action RPG sequel which was released on February 4 for the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The game was highly praised for it’s exceptional melee combat system and engrossing narrative along with some of the deeper gameplay elements that players just won’t find in most other titles of it’s genre.

The game also turned out to be a sleeper hit as it quickly sold past over 2 million copies worldwide and will likely sell even more in the coming months. The game has also received several patches and updates, which has refined and polished the gameplay experience in more ways than one besides adding whole new contents into the game and increasing it’s playability.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 also has Cryengine running under it’s hoods which has resulted in some of the most stunning and realistic looking vegetation and natural landmark renderings in the entire current-gen of gaming. What’s even more impressive is the fact that the game manages to look spectacular even without using any Ray-Tracing feature, making it far more optimized and scalable across a wide range of GPUs out there.
