Honkai: Star Rail Leaks Hint at Version 3.3 Reruns

Veteran gamers will recall the ebb and flow of gacha game updates, the anticipation for new characters tempered by the strategic hoarding of in-game currency. Honkai: Star Rail, the popular space fantasy RPG from HoYoverse, is no exception. As the community eagerly awaits Version 3.3, recent leaks suggest a swift return for two familiar faces: The Herta and Aglaea.

According to a reliable source, HomDGCat, Version 3.3 is slated to feature reruns of these five-star characters who initially debuted in Version 3.0. The Herta, an Ice-type Erudition character, made a significant impact upon her release, quickly establishing herself in the game’s meta. Aglaea, a Lightning-type Remembrance character, was the first new five-star of her Path, adding a unique flavor to team compositions.

This potential double rerun is notable for its timing. If the leaks prove accurate, The Herta and Aglaea will be returning to the limited banner less than three months after their initial appearance. Such a rapid rerun is unusual, prompting speculation within the player base. Some theories suggest that might be a strategy to maximize the characters’ banner sales while they are still considered powerful and relevant, especially with the introduction of new, potentially meta-shifting characters in the same update.

Speaking of new additions, Version 3.3 has already been confirmed to introduce Hyacine, a five-star Wind-type Remembrance character rumored to possess healing abilities, and Cipher, a five-star Quantum-type Nihility character expected to be a strong damage dealer. The order of their banner releases is yet to be officially announced, but leaks indicate that Hyacine and The Herta may feature in the first phase, with Cipher and Aglaea in the second.

The swift return of The Herta and Aglaea alongside the debut of Hyacine and Cipher sets the stage for an interesting strategic landscape in Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.3, anticipated to launch around May 21, 2025. Players will need to carefully consider their resources and team compositions as they navigate this upcoming wave of character banners.
