Hackers enable mods in the Oblivion Remaster in 2025

Hackers enable the ability to have mods in the Oblivion Remastered. This happened right after Bethesda claimed that this game won’t have access to mods. For those interested in this remaster that feels like some sort of unfaithful remake, I would wait for the free versions to start popping up. The original still holds decently today, and it will work in even the weakest of systems. The modding community, and its hackers, are truly an impressive force to behold. While Bethesda claimed compatibility will be an issue, this does not seem to be the case. We at Infinite Start will cover what happened.

Hackers enabled creativity

There’s already over 80 different mods for the Oblivion Remastered, all of them which you can get in Nexus mods. The group behind the modding discovered that this is merely a port of the original game, but the graphic side of things is literally just ran through the current version of Unreal Engine. This is shameless, as it is advertised as a completely new game, but its running in old code base.

This is literally slapping some new paint in an old house, the lowest amount of effort possible. Worst part of all? The Horse DLC that destroyed the industry is back in the game, and it seems to be more expensive. The Horse DLC has to be one of the worst additions to the game, and it shows that gaming has truly declined. It was an attempt to see how much content they can paywall on a game, and people just gave in their whole arm.

Bethesda shouldn’t be fed, since it bit the hand they depend on many times before. The only thing we can do as gamers, and as a collective, is to stop buying their games. When people stop supporting these bad practices, as a group, then they start crumbling down. There’s always ways to get this slop for free, hackers enabled us to do that.
