Stellar Mess is a huge throwback to those old point and click games that have taken the world by storm in the old PC days. Many remember the good days of having played Monkey Island, or even Maniac Mansion. Maniac Mansion seems to be the particular inspiration for this new indie title. Argentinian developer, Tibba Games, has published a sequel to his successful first entry. Engage in more crazy puzzles in this new adventure that continues from where the first game left off. We at Infinite Start will cover what we know about this new release.
Ridiculous and comedic dialogue abounds in this new point and click adventure, much to the like of its predecessor. Many point and click games of the era were often chock full of comedy, and it was a blast to play them for the narrative alone. Puzzles used to be mind numbing, Monkey Island comes to mind when people talk about point and click puzzles. Oftentimes it was common to actually use a guide to solve them, since they were quite obtuse. It seems that the Stellar Mess series might deal with that same quirk, which might not be the cup of tea of many.
However, part of the charm of these games is having unique and often weird puzzles that will haunt you even in your dreams. The joy that these games bring often come from overcoming the challenges that they pose, no matter how ridiculous they are. More often than not, all of the clues are actually littered in the plot and the lines important characters utter. Clues exist, and it is still possible to beat games like this, you only need to put some effort and time on them. If you are interested in this new point and click experience, try out the new sequel if you played the first, or start the series from the first entry.
