Steep shockingly gets achievements for Steam by Ubisoft

Steep got achievements some days ago on the Steam PC client. As we can see, Ubisoft is on a rush to get done as many games as possible. It is clear that this is a migration from the things they have in their own platform. Nobody really cares about the Ubisoft alternative, yet, they seem to be putting lots of effort trying to port these achievements. As long as they keep doing so they might get a bunch of fans back, but this is just unreasonable filler by them. We at Infinite Start will cover this “hasty” decision by the greedy NFT company.

Not too Steep

It does not matter how many achievements Ubisoft tries to funnel down. They are actively doing their best to replace people with “AI”, and they are failing to do so too. The day Ubisoft decides to go full on into this Web 3 nonsense, will be the day that they finally sink. It is too late to fill this medium with greed, because indie alternatives will always exist. The fact that games are under DRM that counts as spyware is technically a crime in itself. Back in the day we used to get physical media that came with the game, no installations, just plug and play.

Unfortunately, it seems that the days of physical media are starting to disappear. But there is hope for us, GOG made initiatives to try and preserve games. Despite them being in digital form, you actually do own those downloads, unlike the other stores that wish to restrict access to the things you bought. People need to stop giving money to these companies, its is the only way to abolish practices like this under the system we live in. As long as we remain united in this fight for game preservation, we can win any battle against those who want to trample on our hobby.
