Honkai: Star Rail Celebrates Anniversary with Free Five-Star Character in Version 3.2

Honkai: Star Rail is gearing up to celebrate its second anniversary in grand fashion, treating players to a wealth of new content and rewards in the upcoming Version 3.2 update. The immensely popular sci-fi RPG from HoYoverse is giving away a free five-star character to fans as a part of its second-anniversary festivities.

Version 3.2 will introduce two new playable characters, Castorice and Anaxa, alongside special rewards and events. One of the biggest gifts is the “Golden Companion Spirit” token, a new currency for a special in-game shop. Players will receive this token upon logging in for the first time after the update.

This token can be used to acquire a free copy of either Ruan Mei or Luocha, as well as Star Rail’s standard banner characters. The gift token can be claimed from the launch of Version 3.2 through the conclusion of Version 3.4.

HoYoverse regularly includes four-star characters as rewards for completing events, such as the recent “Awooo Firm” event. On occasion, they have also given out five-star characters for free, including Dr. Ratio in Version 1.6 and a five-star selector for standard banner characters during Version 2.7.

The new free five-star currency has implications for future uses. Some fans speculate that the five-star shop may become a permanent fixture, allowing players to save the token for later updates with altered rotations. The free character also provides an opportunity for players who missed out to acquire one of Star Rail’s most powerful supports, with Ruan Mei being a staple unit.

In addition to the free five-star character, players can claim up to 30 free gacha pulls during the update. Version 3.2 will also feature limited-time events, including “Star Rail WORLD” and “Astral Express Annual Trailblaze Report,” a follow-up to last year’s Cosmodyssey. More or less, fans have a plethora of content to enjoy with the coming of Version 3.2. For now, fans can only wait till its release.
