Skull Rainbow is a new clicker game coming to PC soon at an unspecified and chilling date. The main appeal of clicker games is simply making numbers go big, with not other inherent system attached to that. Variety is the spice of life, and there’s always a crowd for something, regardless of what some might think. Your objective is Skull Rainbow is to build up the biggest amount of rainbow Mana, a magic substance made of many elements. With that Mana, you can then amass a huge army of skeletons of different elements that will speed the process. We at Infinite Start will discuss this simple clicker game.
It is clear that there’s lots of inspiration taken from the Magic the Gathering Mana system in this one. However, the logos of the elements are also taken from Pokémon Trading Card Game, some of them even look the same. Clicker games appeal to an specific subset of people who are into idle titles. While these aren’t really games per se, seeing numbers grow big trigger certain satisfactory responses in our brains. It would be cool if some clicker game decided to subvert the trope of the usual clicker game, and reveal itself as a real proper game.
We might need an indie developer with enough ideas to make such a project a reality. However, Skull Rainbow is enough, and it might also be the first project of the developer behind it, so let’s give it a break. We can assume that this game will drop in 2025, and it would be smart to release it during Halloween period from a marketing standpoint. If you are interested in this new clicker experience that might not be as good as Cookie Clicker, you can give this game the chance to be in your wishlist to boost the developer.
