Silent Hill f was awaited by many players in all platforms, including on PC. After the sloppy release of Silent Hill 2, which ruined the plot of the original with unnecessary additions, we can finally get a fresh take on the series. The writing behind this one is done by none other than Ryukishi07, more notable for his work on the Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni series, among other works by Leaf. If he is involved, you know its gonna be good, at least on the plot department. Silent Hill games are a careful mix of narrative and gameplay, something that Silent Hill 2 remake wasn’t able to respect thanks to Blobber Team. We at Infinite Start will cover this.
We really don’t know what the f on Silent Hill f stands for, but perhaps this will be the last entry on the beloved series before it goes dormant again. Many have tried pitching games to Konami, but most of the time, these were rejected or scrapped. Konami is known to be primarily focused on pachinko machines and trading money from cardboard to an unsuspecting user base. The company does not make games anymore, and they have taken the backseat to just help publish stuff.
We can hope that Konami has given Neobards enough money and time to properly assemble a work of art. The chips are down and we have relevant people behind this game, Akira Yamaoka returns to bring dread to the score of this new title. This might be one of the darkest titles in the series, the warning itself is enough to send shivers down the spine of any sane person. Hinako is our protagonist this time and her hometown is engulfed in fog, driving her to fight grotesque monsters and solve eerie puzzles, much to the like of other titles in the series.
