Modders’s breakthrough enables FSR4 support in many games

Modders have found a way to properly enable the ability to use FSR4 technologies in games that don’t support it. Thanks to the open source nature of a project like FSR, we can now have all games performing in a rather impressive way. However, one has to remember that technologies like this actively hamper the idea of optimization. Adding fake frames to your game is basically a band aid that opens up even more problems in the future. While publishers keep forcing developers to rush releases with draconian crunch, hope wanes from gaming. We at Infinite Start will cover this new development.

Modders keep on giving

Modders are the driving force beyond game releases having success on PC. Thanks to them, a bunch of games can often acquire much needed content updates. Along with this, modders often outright fix messy releases by developers. The best example of this happening was when the most disastrous PC release happened a decade or so ago. Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition has to be one of the worst PC ports to ever exist on the platform, however, modders managed to fix it in a matter of days.

Without them, games would remain broken and unplayable, publishers know this, and often task developers with releasing broken games in purpose. After all, the modding community will always be there to fix them for free, and that’s basically abusing their good will. Scummy publishers like EA Games will never miss a chance to have free workforce, and if modders are that workforce, then they will accept.

Disgustingly enough, this behavior keeps repeating. People seem to never learn that companies will abuse the system to keep earning more for doing less. FSR and other technologies are problematic, often sugar coating the sad state of gaming in today’s world. Indies will always remain a viable option to enjoy gaming again.
