Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will go DRM-Free, plus Release Date for Patch 1.2 Confirmed

After becoming a solid commercial success on all platforms and selling over 2 million copies, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will also go DRM-free as the medieval action RPG is set to join the GOG catalogue of games on March 28, as announced by the Storefront directly. GOG has also an ongoing sale on it’s predecessor, Kingdom Come: Deliverance which is down from it’s original price to a steep 75% discount till Thursday, so if you’re currently enjoying Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you might want to try out the first title which, at this price, is a great deal overall.

Also, after the game is available on GOG as a completely DRM-free version, you can get Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 without any form of restrictions or other nuisances that a large amount of games that implement DRM have, which would be loved by many players. As you may already know, DRM is a hugely divisive part of the majority of games, and it’s always has been that way since it’s inception. While many gamers don’t particularly mind the added layer of security, others lament the loss of freedom over the product they bought such as strict limitations on number of activations and many other draconian measures that DRM brings to any videogame.

But thanks to GOG, players of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 won’t have to deal with the game’s DRM anymore and will be able to have a lot more control and freedom over the game, especially with the number of re-installs and more.

In other news of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the game will be getting a huge update titled patch 1.2 which will span a total of 34 pages worth of patch notes, as well as add a whole new ‘Barber mode’ into the game, enabling players to change their hair and beard styles. The patch is currently expected to arrive on March 13 on all platforms.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is a medieval Europe action RPG sequel which was released on February 4 for the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The game was highly praised for it’s exceptional melee combat system and engrossing narrative along with some of the deeper gameplay elements that players just won’t find in most other titles of it’s genre.
