GTA 5 Enhanced Currently the worst rated Rockstar Game on Steam

Despite offering a substantial visual uplift, it seems the recently released Enhanced edition of GTA 5 hasn’t been able to win the hearts of PC gamers, at least for now. With numerous game-breaking issues such as account migration errors, sub-par performance even on high end gaming PCs and complete removal of the Text Chat feature which was heavily used by players in GTA Online, GTA 5 Enhanced has become the worst rated game from Rockstar, particularly on Steam.

Originally intended to bring the PC version of GTA 5 up to the same technical standards as those of the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions, the Enhanced edition had incorporated multiple Ray Tracing-based graphical upgrades into the game, which would easily breathe new life into Rockstar’s decade-old Open World behemoth. But it seems while the Enhanced version did succeed at making GTA 5 visually more richer and better that it’s base version in every way, it also created several issues of it’s own in the process, which is why the game currently has a “Mixed” review status with around 50-56% positive feedback from players.

From over 12,200 user reviews on Steam, only 51% are currently positive for GTA 5 Enhanced, which is downright embarrassing from a developer such as Rockstar’s pedigree. But despite it’s low user ratings, GTA 5 Enhanced still managed to engage over 187,059 concurrent players on Steam which isn’t particularly surprising considering GTA 5 has always been one of the most played videogames in history.

Hopefully Rockstar will roll out one or multiple patches pretty soon to iron out all, or at least some of the major issues including the account migration problem that can cause many gamers to lose all of their progress in GTA 5 which is downright alarming. It seems one of the main reasons behind the low reviews of the Enhanced edition is how it’s affecting the in-game progresses of players across the community which shouldn’t really happen as many of them have invested over thousands of hours into the game, especially in GTA Online.
