Dead by Daylight Crossing Over with Tokyo Ghoul

Behaviour Interactive has officially revealed a crossover event between Dead by Daylight and the renowned dark fantasy anime show Tokyo Ghoul. The crossovers adds Ken Kaneki as the new Killer called The Ghoul with his unique Kagune Leap move to the game. The players can already play the new persona on Dead by Daylight’s Steam public test build (PTB) and the official release date is on April 2.

Ken Kaneki Enters Dead by Daylight

Dead by Daylight has had a long tradition of extensive crossover content, from series such as Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and Stranger Things to horror mainstays like A Nightmare on Elm Street. Tokyo Ghoul’s addition is yet another giant leap in expanding the game beyond the usual parameters of horror media into anime.

Tokyo Ghoul’s main character Ken Kaneki comes in as The Ghoul to symbolize his change in the anime following a ghoul organ transplant. The Killer’s Kagune Leap power allows him to use tentacle-like appendages to grab onto surfaces and propel himself forward, making him one of the most nimble Dead by Daylight killers. He can also drag survivors and apply Deep Wounds, making him a force to be reckoned with.

    • Hide Costume for Renato Lyra

Future Additions to the PTB Dead by Daylight

Testers for the crossover on PTB also have the opportunity to try out new gameplay features, such as a surrender feature. The feature permits players to surrender matches based on certain conditions yet retain Bloodpoints, match XP, challenge progress, and emblem scores. The latest patch also adds bug fixes for several in-game features such as audio, bots, and character animations.

As Dead by Daylight continues to expand into anime, Tokyo Ghoul enthusiasts can finally live through the haunting world of Kaneki for themselves when the crossover finally releases on April 2.
