Build-A-Bear and Pokémon have joined forces again, this time welcoming Wooper, the adorable Generation 2 Water/Ground-type Pokémon. The new plush drop is part of the popular Build-A-Bear Pokémon partnership, which has already seen more than 40 Pokémon-themed plushies.
With Build-A-Bear celebrating the 10th anniversary of its partnership with Pokémon, the range is still expanding, covering Pokémon from the early games to more recent generations. Most previous releases have featured fan-favorite characters such as Eeveelutions, and more recent plushes have drawn inspiration from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. But the newest addition goes back to Johto, introducing Wooper into the fold.
Fans can now buy the Wooper Build-A-Bear bundle, which features:
The Wooper Build-A-Bear package can be had for $62.50. That said, fans should be aware that full bundles only are available online—individual accessories cannot be bought separately. To discourage resellers from stockpiling, Build-A-Bear has capped purchases at five per person.
Although the plush is otherwise sold online, in-store pickup may be arranged by some customers. Fans who are interested in this process should look on the Build-A-Bear website for store availability at their local store.
Like past Pokémon Build-A-Bear releases, no promises can be made that Wooper will be on the shelf forever. A number of Pokémon plushes have been taken out of production over the years, so fans should not expect Wooper to last forever.
Though Paldean Wooper was unveiled in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, the regional variation has not appeared in the Build-A-Bear collection yet. Nevertheless, as it shares an almost identical shape and slight variation in coloration, most of the fans could be contented with the standard blue Wooper plush.
