Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Teases New Zombies Map in Season 3

Treyarch officially revealed a new Zombies map named Shattered Veil that will be coming when Season 3 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 releases on April 3, 2025. This comes after a string of teasers by the developers in which they have revealed to their fans for the first time Liberty Falls mansion, which is the central centerpiece of the Dark Aether narrative.

Shattered Veil – A New Haunted Battlefield

Shattered Veil map is inside Edward Richter’s mansion, offering a fresh haunted battlefield to players. Given that The Tomb was released with Season 2, this is the fifth round-based Zombies map for Black Ops 6 following its October 2024 launch.

Treyarch’s tweet included a black teaser image, labeled as “Season 3” with the title “Shattered Veil,” announcing that it would soon be coming in the next update. The mansion will likely be full of evil secrets, deadly corridors, and cryptic Easter eggs regarding the Dark Aether mythos.

New Features, Weapons, and Enemies

Shattered Veil map is said to add new Perk-a-Colas, weapons, and mechanics to the game. Some of the additions expected include:

New Perk-a-Colas – Such as Double Tap, Mule Kick, and Tombstone.

New Ammo Mod – Shatter Blast, presumably to add explosive bullets.

New Field Upgrade – Frost Blast, which will add freezing capability.

Wonder Weapon Return – The Wunderwaffe DG-2, the returning fan favorite electricity gun.

Treyarch has also made an announcement that new strong foes known as Amalgams and Abominations, which occurred on previous maps, will not be seen on Shattered Veil. New Elite foes will take their place instead and may introduce new challenges for undead survival mode.

Season 3 and Beyond

With Season 3 set to drop on April 3, fans are looking forward to gameplay trailers, more teasers, and initial information regarding the map mechanics. The Dark Aether storyline continues to brew, and Shattered Veil is looking like a big expansion for Black Ops 6’s Zombies.
