ASRock destroys certain AMD CPUs with lethal Motherboards

ASRock decided that its time to burn some CPUs from AMD. ASRock has been lauded by some as a reputable brand, however, they have had plenty of issues with production for years. There is better brands in the market, and ASRock has always been the budget option, except for the unreliable Biostar who is even cheaper. After breaking down AMD’s 9800X3D CPUs, it seems that ASRock has just lowered a tier in reliability. This puts them in the same tier as the amount of trust that Biostar has. No hardware is created the same, and the silicon lottery affects every provider, but it does affect some more than others. We at Infinite Start will cover the damages that happened.

ASRock’s big oopsie (again)

This is not the first time an ASRock Motherboard has actually damaged components. It is true that many people go wild when it comes to configurations and changing stuff on the BIOS. However, Motherboards are more durable than that, and they should allow for people to configure their setup even to the tiniest detail. ASRock has proved once again their brand is unreliable for those who wish to go down the path of optimal configurations. Reports claim that the hardware is able to cause damage to the high end CPUs from AMD.

Back then, ASRock has claimed that it was the fault of AMDs CPU design, but it has been proven that it was fault of the motherboard instead. The company has also done shady moves, blocking certain reviewers like Gamers Nexus from covering their products. If that does not raise the alarm, then this will indeed be a sign to avoid them in case you are a high end gamer. There is even enthusiast grade pieces that one can buy, provided they have access to lots of money to do so.

Once you look at games nowadays however, you ask yourself the question, is it worth it? Games have been unoptimized and uninteresting for quite a while and indies are taking over. Indies often run in systems that are decades old and are often more fun too.
