Penta Unfortunately Omitted from WWE 2K25 Roster

WWE 2K25 launches March 14 with a whopping roster of WWE legends, current superstars, and even some new releases. Missing from the list, though, is Penta, the former AEW superstar who debuted in the WWE last month in January.

Why Penta Didn’t Get Included in the WWE 2K25 Roster

Penta’s exclusion is probably because the game roster was finalized prior to his WWE signing. WWE 2K games halt their playable rosters months before official release, so last-minute signees simply don’t make the cut. This is similar to CM Punk’s late 2023 return, which was too late for WWE 2K24’s release roster. Punk did get added later through DLC, so fans are hoping the same will happen with Penta in WWE 2K25.

The said wrestler has been a sensation since newly signing with WWE, winning his first match as part of Chad Gable’s team and competing a good long time in the Royal Rumble. He carried that momentum into Raw ever since, but somehow it just was not enough for him to enter this year’s game.

There is always a chance Penta could still be included in WWE 2K25 via post-launch DLC. But unlike CM Punk, who was a main event star to WWE 2K24’s DLC, Penta, though well-liked as he is, does not have the crossover appeal. No such 2K Sports announcements have been made, so fans will have to temper expectations.

Penta’s Likely WWE 2K Debut in 2026

If the upcomer does stunately ick around in WWE, he will be effectively locked in to be featured in WWE 2K26 as part of the core roster. At that point, he might have a more significant role on WWE TV, and thus be an even greater draw for next year’s game.

Meanwhile, WWE 2K25 players will have to wait and cross their fingers for 2K Sports to release a DLC pack with Penta or settle for playing community-created versions of him using the game’s Create-A-Wrestler option.
