Wizard of Legend 2 Adds 4-Player Co-Op in New Update

Wizard of Legend 2, developed by Dead Mage, has launched a major update that brings a much-desired 4-player co-op mode. The new PC feature for Steam Early Access allows four wizards to collaborate on local and online modes, providing another layer of strategy and coordination for the roguelike dungeon crawler.

Since its initial launch, Wizard of Legend 2 has been garnering mixed reviews from players. While others find enjoyment in its quick spell-based action and increased elemental abilities, others have been whining about performance issues and digressions from its original predecessor. However, with this, Dead Mage still aims to improve the experience, this co-op patch being a crucial part of the development of the game.

The multiplayer is taken from the December Sky Citadel update, where a new biome, new monsters, tough bosses, and Dash Arcana spells were added. With four-player co-op, parties can now mix spells, try out varying elemental synergies, and navigate procedurally generated dungeons together, making it replayable and co-op strategy.

New Additions in the Update

  • 4-Player Co-Op Mode – Join forces with three other players in local or online multiplayer.
  • Increased Combat Opportunities – Use Arcana skills in creative spell combinations with friends.
  • New Relic Trading System – Players can trade unwanted relics among themselves and build optimize.

In Wizard of Legend 2, elemental Arcana—fire, water, wind, earth, lightning, and chaos—are used by players to fight through dungeons that are inhabited by tough enemies. The game has more than 50 relics that provide stat bonuses along with additional effects, thus extensive personalization and diverse gameplay. Through its co-op integration, game mechanic learning equals multiplayer gameplay.

Dead Mage has also announced that Wizard of Legend 2 will stay in early access for a minimum of six months more. More biomes, improved gameplay mechanics, and new storylines will be included in the game in the coming updates. As the development goes on, the studio wants to optimize the performance of the game while adding more content. Gamers can currently dive into Wizard of Legend 2’s co-op mode and enjoy a magical combat session with friends.
