Nintendo Switch Online continues to bring more and more games from earlier into its line-up, and the latest addition to include games from the Game Boy Advance era is Wario Land 4. Released ages and ages ago in 2001, the platformer typically referred to as one of the best Wario games out there, sees the player getting accustomed to hanging with Wario, bumbling yet lovable series antagonist, who journeys to attain mythic loot buried deep in the Golden Pyramid. The special aspect such as Wario transforming into another creature such as Flat Wario and Fat Wario is another addition to the classic platformer game.
Wario Land 4 is now available to active subscribers of Nintendo Switch Online as part of a new batch of GBA games released today including classic favorites such as The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap and Kirby & the Amazing Mirror. These time-tested legends, comprised of very replayable games, enable players to play back some of their greatest GBA-handheld games of all time. Minish Cap during 2005 is an action title where gamers control Link, and Kirby & the Amazing Mirror offers gamers a wacky adventure within the world of the mirror, where many Kirbys collaborate to save the day.
Alongside the new games, Nintendo Switch Online also includes a set of features such as online multiplayer, cloud save data, and member rewards for $20/month. To access more content, the $50/year subscription unlocks additional titles for Sega Genesis, Nintendo 64, and Game Boy Color such as Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, and the Donkey Kong Land trilogy.
While the current list of games is rather extensive, there are definitely a couple more games worth mentioning on that list that have not yet been added, like Contra, Battletoads, and the first Pokémon games. While these future announcements will have gamers champing at the bit, there are a couple of games that immediately come to mind that are not yet included, including Pokémon Puzzle League, Pokémon Stadium, and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team. With additional updates to the service, Nintendo Switch Online subscribers have much to look forward to in classic games to play throughout the next few months.
