Ambitious tower defense, Tempest Tower, released a PC demo

Tempest Tower is an ambitious take on the Tower Defense genre. This new indie game has dropped a demo on PC and it is set to take over the world by storm. While there is still no proper released date given for this new ambitious project, we can assume it will drop this year. There has been a rise on the Tower Defense genre recently, as they are often quite simple to make. Tempest Tower however, is very different than your average Tower Defense game. We at Infinite Start will cover everything we know about this new experience.

Tempest Tower taking over

Tower Defense games are on the rise as we have seen together lately. Tempest Tower is capitalizing on this trend, but it adds a new twist. Everyone who has played the genre knows some basic factors that remain as a constant through the experience. Tower defense games tend to be static experiences where you try to build a base to defend it from sieges. This new game provides players the opportunity to actually move, jump, and interact with the environment.

That’s right, Tempest Tower decides to merge platformer games with tower defense games. This new unprecedented idea might give it an edge above the rest of the titles in the market, at least on the ambition department. Protect your tower from invading enemies using your crazy contraptions, powerful upgrades, and you can even jump on them Mario style. Tempest Tower reinvents Tower Defense with a thrilling mix of strategic base building and platforming combat action.

Adding these things to the mix adds challenge to a relatively simple genre. Not many people expect action elements on a game like this, yet they seem to merge very well. If you truly are interested enough to dive deeper, you may try out the demo available on Steam. And if you truly enjoy the title, you can also wishlist it to boost the creator.
