According to an unbiased source, some 5090 cards are actually under performing. After people fought tooth and nail to secure one of these expensive and scarce GPUs, they found out some glaring issues. Not only does the 5090 perform worse than even older models, and is also a risk to your house, but now some specific models are actually even less than powerful. This also isn’t an issue that is attributed to software either, this is an actual hardware failure, and if you own any of these, well, nothing to do about it. We at Infinite Start will cover this whole fiasco.
Seems like early adopters got scammed once again. For those who aren’t patient, consequence await. But considering how terribly optimized most triple A releases tend to be on PC, its understandable. Perhaps people should stop buying all of this unnecessary PC hardware, games have plateaued graphically after all. The PS5 looks basically the same as the PS4, and so are many games on PC. There is really no reason to upgrade since most of the gameplay for these games didn’t even evolve.
As a matter of fact, many of these games have actually worsened over time. Monster Hunter used to be a slow and methodical game about a group of players against intimidating foes. Now it has become a slaughter fest, a damage per second race to see who can stun lock a Rathalos right from the get go. Games are appealing to a newer demography that didn’t play the older ones and does not understand them, removing their DNA in the process.
Nvidia 5090 cards are an absolute mess, from failed updates to mini time bombs, you don’t know what could happen. Now, certain vendors provide 5090 cards that actually have less ROPs in them, making them severely underpowered compared to ones directly from Nvidia. Based on the grifting going on in the hardware space, and how much “AI” gaming is trying to be pushed, do you still think gaming is alive?
