Sliding Hero is a new ice physics Zelda coming to PC in 2025

As always, indie games are the gift that keeps on giving. Sliding Hero has been revealed to the public for a while and now it has a new PC demo. Engage in interesting Sokoban like puzzles where your movements are dictated by ice physics. Along the way, collect new equipment to try and beat your foes and solve more puzzles. There is no proper release date as of yet, but we can be sure it will happen in 2025. We at Infinite Start will cover what we know so far of the game and what we like.

A Sliding Hero’s story

This new game clearly merges those old and popular ice puzzles from the Pokémon series. Many people consider those puzzles rather hard, but it can be chalked off to gamers of that time being young. After all, games exist to challenge players and actual hard puzzles like this can be created, and it seems that Sliding Hero will bank on that. The Zelda part of the game is quite prominent too, you can even notice the inspiration looking at the life bar. It is clear that the game will be entirely puzzle driven from what we can see. Puzzle mechanics are often quite hard to make, since you need to think on designing something that is challenging to the players.

The art of the game is pretty good, and many people seem to enjoy it too. The setting of the game will be a fantastical version of Venetia in Italy, where many dangers lurk in the shadows. You play as Luca Sicomoro a military man who was imprisoned and needs to escape from a villa. Your cunning will help you solve the mysterious puzzles that abound, and if you are intrigued by them, you can perhaps try out the demo. In case you enjoyed it, you may want to also wishlist the game to show support.
