Rollerdrome has been delisted from Steam due to dev concerns

Rollerdrome has been delisted from Steam to the surprise of everyone. It seems that yet another publisher has decided to screw over the developers. According to developer Anisa Sanusi, the publisher was downright abusive against the team behind Rollerdrome. We at Infinite Start will shed some light on the situation.

A call to action

We currently live times were developers are getting mistreated more often. Or at least, thanks to the power of the internet, we can become aware of these issues. Back in the day, the only thing that came out regarding power abuse in the industry was mostly rumors. However, many of these have actually been confirmed, and real people paid the consequence of publishers actions.

History is deemed to repeat itself as long as people does not learn. There is a sliver of hope that the new generation is able to understand this and take action. Anisa Sanusi, one of the key developers behind Rollerdrome, is asking for people to pirate the game. This is a good choice, after all, the team behind it suffered from IP theft. Similar to the Disco Elysium situation, it is important to not give a single dime to the publishing house.

Rollerdrome has been delisted from Steam to facilitate a reason to pirate it. This game is now lost media, and the only way to acquire it is through piracy. One can also be a kind soul and donate towards the people who put their effort on its creation. Donations can help both consumers and developers alike to keep moving on with more projects. When there is a developer you really like, its often nice to do this.

Even if Rollerdrome has been delisted from all stores, it is important to remember that the game isn’t lost. It is possible to get it, totally for free with enough effort put into a web search.
