Rainbow Six Siege Reveals Year 10 Season 1 Plans

Ubisoft has officially revealed Rainbow Six Siege Year 10 Season 1, introducing a new operator, Rauora, alongside a revamped reputation system and improved matchmaking. The update, dubbed Operation Prep Phase, aims to refine the game’s balance while addressing cheating and exploits.

The previous season, Operation Collision Point, launched in December 2024 and featured a major rework for Blackbeard, as well as cross-play between PC and consoles. Now, Ubisoft is shifting its focus to the next phase of Rainbow Six Siege, ensuring fresh content and gameplay enhancements.

New Operator: Rauora

Rauora, the latest attacker, brings unique abilities to the battlefield. She wields the Reaper MK2 pistol, marking the first time this secondary weapon appears in Rainbow Six Siege. Her gadget, the Deployable Omnilink Mesh (D.O.M.), launches bulletproof panels onto doorways, blocking enemy sightlines and movement. Initially, Rauora will be available through the Battle Pass, later unlocking via Renown or R6 Credits.

Key Features in Year 10 Season 1

  • New attack operator Rauora
  • Reputation system overhaul
  • Dynamic matchmaking 1.0 system
  • Enhanced anti-cheat and exploit prevention measures

Reputation System and Matchmaking Updates

Ubisoft is introducing a new reputation system, rewarding well-behaved players while penalizing disruptive ones. Players with a Respectable rating or higher from Year 9 Season 4 will receive an Alpha Pack, while those classified as Disruptive or Dishonorable will face restrictions in playlists and certain unlocks.

Additionally, Ubisoft is rolling out Dynamic Matchmaking 1.0, designed to optimize game lobbies by adjusting for server demand. This system aims to improve match quality, even during peak hours, by balancing player skill levels more effectively.

Rainbow Six Siege X Announcement Coming Soon

Beyond Year 10’s first season, Ubisoft has teased a major announcement for March 2025: the reveal of Rainbow Six Siege X. While details remain scarce, the upcoming title is expected to feature upgraded visuals, new events, and gameplay innovations.

With Operation Prep Phase on the horizon, Rainbow Six Siege continues to evolve, ensuring fresh experiences for both long-time players and newcomers.
