Post-Launch Content Schedule Unveiled for Civilization 7

Developer Firaxis Games has recently unveiled the complete post-launch roadmap for the upcoming Civilization 7 which includes both free and paid DLC’s for the game that’ll release throughout 2025. So if you’re a fan of the long running strategy game series, you’ll be glad to see that the devs have a ton of post-release content in store for you that can keep you engaged with Civilization 7 for a really long time, even for the rest of the year. Firaxis Games has announced the upcoming list of DLC’s and other content updates (including the game’s Multiplayer mode as well) in a recently held developer livestream for Civilization 7.

The devs revealed both the names and the release windows for several upcoming free and paid contents for Civilization 7 and a plethora of patches, events and more in between. The first major paid DLC is titled Crossroads of the World Collection and will arrive in two separate parts with Part 1 launching in Early March and comes with Leader Ada Lovelace, four Natural Wonders, and the Carthage and Great Britain Civs while Part 2 of the content pack will arrive in late March with Leader Simon Bollvar, Civs Bulgaria and Nepal.

Additional free contents for Civilization 7 are also expected to release in both early and late March this year including the Natural Wonder Battle Event and Bermuda Triangle Natural Wonder in the first half and the Marvelous Mountains Event and Mount Everest Natural Wonder in the second half of March.

Also, the Right to Rule Collection (paid DLC) which includes 2 new Leaders, 4 new Civilizations and 4 new Natural Wonders is also expected during April-September along with new events, challenges and additional updates as part of the free content release for Civilization 7.

Post launch contents are nothing new for the franchise as the previous game in the series, Civilization 6 has seen upwards of 20 DLC packs throughout the game’s lifetime. And if anything, the post-release lineup of Civilization 7 suggests similar batch of exciting content releases from the devs that will add to the longevity of the upcoming game in numerous ways.

Civilization 7 is headed to the Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One and Series X and S, Nintendo Switch, and the PC platform (which includes both macOS and Linux) on February 11, 2025.
