The upcoming Metal Gear Solid Delta is shaping up to be an exciting and faithful modern day remake of one of the most influential games in the stealth genre which is Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater and the best part is it’ll finally let PC gamers experience the timeless classic that was originally exclusive for the Playstation 2. Of course the Unreal Engine 5 remake also features a massive visual overhaul and comes with tons of added gameplay flourishes such as a modern third person camera perspective (which is similar to the camera of Metal Gear Solid 4 and 5) and many other quality of life changes under the hood.
Metal Gear Solid Delta is officially confirmed to launch on August 28, 2025 and you can pre-order the game right now on Steam which grants you access to a bonus skin and if you pre-order the Deluxe Edition, you can get a 48 hour early access to the game. The Digital Deluxe Edition also includes the Sneaking DLC Pack, which adds several in-game costumes including six detailed skins, two pairs of glasses, and two animal face masks.
Metal Gear Solid Delta also features a Collector’s Edition aimed at series enthusiasts but is only available for the Playstation 5 and the Xbox Series X|S versions of the game. So if you’re on the PC, the only way to get more in-game contents for Metal Gear Solid Delta is through the Digital Deluxe Edition.
The Official System Requirements for the stealth action title is also out and they’re pretty reasonable for an Unreal Engine 5 game, though you’ll need a 100 GB SSD Storage to install it.
