League of Legends does controversial update to end lane swap

Riot Games is back at it again with another League of Legends blunder update. This new update plans to remove a feature, or more commonly known as a tactic, that many players used. It is egregious that Riot Games is out there, being the big brother and trying to moderate how people play the game. There is no cheating in lane swapping, and nobody has complained about it ever. Even professional players use these tactics to get an strategic advantage over other teams, who also happen to use it too. We at Infinite Start will cover this whole drama.

League of Legends Lane Swaps

Since the inception of the game, it was very common to see people planning new strategies to get an edge over the other team. One of the oldest tactics available was Lane Swapping, which enabled players to confuse the opposing team by being in different roles. This became a meta tactic being used by many competitive eSports teams such as Team Liquid and others. Even Faker has used this technique before to sow chaos on the scenario, with much success too. One can argue that Faker is the one who popularized it and then it became something big.

But as always, Riot Games is always hypocritical about not having balance, yet, they just decide that balance is something they need to do. It is impossible to know what goes through the heads of Riot Games, but, judging from later changes, money is a no brainer. One can wonder if it is even worth it to play the game anymore, if they just dictate the way you need to play. One of the main draws of League of Legends was the fact that you could basically play in unorthodox ways to win by surprise. Removing elements like this makes an already terrible game into an even more egregious one.
