Gunmetal Gothic is a retro inspired PvE shooter that will come with a blast on PC. This new indie title promises some tight and mechanical driven gameplay that might truly blow the PvE scene apart. With Gothic aesthetics, Gunmetal Gothic is set to not only be unique, but provided a experience that will be remembered by many, at least graphically speaking. As tech gets newer, doing all of these old design techniques gets harder, often having to use lesser unsupported hardware to do so. We at Infinite Start will cover what we know of this new PvE game.
Created by solo developer, Ryan Mahony, this title looks stunning to say the least. People often underestimate old art styles, regarding them as obsolete. Often the same people will just care about unnecessary tech advancements that bloat the medium. In the sea of sloppy and uncanny looking realistic games made by huge corporations, indie games persist by bringing their own unique take. Gunmetal Gothic clearly provides a curated aesthetic experience, very reminiscent to that of the Deception series by Tecmo.
Players who enjoyed the graphically stunning title way back in the day, may want to experience this nostalgic feeling once again. Now, the gameplay is obviously totally different than the aforementioned series. Being primarily a shooter with PvE focus and lots of customization is a boon for those who love tinkering with builds. The good news is that this indie title can still be played without a party, that is, in solo mode. No need to take on hordes of mechanical demons in group for those solo fans out there.
Trying to future proof the game in that way is an amazing choice, since no online game lives forever. As showed by many current collapses in the industry, we cannot trust the way of Online only game in the slightest. It is important that the game always remains up for those who wish to play it, and focusing on single player content is the way.
