GTA 6 Fans Speculate Second Trailer May Drop in March

GTA 6 fans have started speculating that the second official trailer of the game may drop in March 2025. Since Rockstar Games has been tight-lipped about news since the first trailer in December 2023, the excitement is only growing. If this rumor turns out to be true, it will be a huge milestone for one of the most highly anticipated games ever.

Why March? Fans Notice a Pattern

One of the primary reasons why fans think a March reveal is probable is because of Rockstar’s parent publisher, Take-Two Interactive. There has been a comparison made between GTA 6 and Borderlands 4, another Take-Two game releasing in 2025. The second trailer for Borderlands 4 dropped around seven months prior to its release, which led some to assume GTA 6’s second trailer would follow the same pattern.

Also on March 4 is a significant PC update for Grand Theft Auto 5, bringing the game to next-gen console standards. Some believe Rockstar will use the update as a chance to hype GTA 6, perhaps with a new trailer.

Rockstar’s Marketing Strategy and GTA 6’s Release Window

Ever since its record-breaking initial trailer, Rockstar has remained quiet about GTA 6 details, such as a specific release date. The game is yet to be released sometime in 2025, but no further trailers or gameplay reveals have been officially made.

Past Rockstar releases would be taken into account with Grand Theft Auto 5 coming out in the late summer months of 2013, which would lead to a speculation that GTA 6 will also follow the same timeline. With that, an early March trailer release would be ideally fit into a well-thought-out marketing strategy.

Will GTA 6 Adhere to Rockstar’s Traditional PC Launch Model?

The second important point is that GTA 6 will not come out on PC right away. Similar to previous Rockstar titles, it will come out first on consoles with the PC version trailing by months or years. Games like GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 did the same, releasing first on PlayStation and Xbox and later receiving PC ports.

Although this is speculative, fans are eagerly anticipating an announcement from Rockstar Games in the weeks to come.
