Fortnite Adds Adidas Kicks, But Fans Question the Price

Epic Games has expanded its Fortnite Kicks collection with a new Adidas collaboration, introducing three real-life sneaker designs into the game. While some players appreciate the added customization, others are questioning whether virtual shoes should cost as much as full-body skins.

Fortnite Kicks: A New Way to Customize

First introduced in late 2024, Fortnite Kicks offer players a way to personalize their characters’ footwear, similar to how Back Bling accessories work. Unlike full skins, which change a character’s entire outfit, Kicks let players mix and match shoes with their existing looks.

Now, Adidas has joined the lineup, following Nike’s earlier Fortnite collaboration. The new Adidas Kicks include three sneaker models based on real-world designs:

  • Adidas Samba – A classic streetwear sneaker inspired by soccer shoes
  • Adidas Campus 00s – A tennis-inspired design with a retro feel
  • Adidas Adizero Aruku – A 2000s-style running shoe with a thick rocker sole

Each pair is available in different color options—black, grey, and red—and costs 800 V-Bucks. Alongside the new Adidas sneakers, Epic also brought back the Fluffy Buns shoe design for 600 V-Bucks.

Mixed Reactions from the Community

While some fans are excited to see the sporting sneakers in the game, others have criticized the pricing. At 800 V-Bucks per pair, Fortnite Kicks cost the same as some full-body skins, which has left some players hesitant to buy them.

On social media, some players joked about pairing those Kicks with Nike-themed skins as a way to mix rival brands, while others questioned whether Epic would lower the prices to make them more appealing to a wider audience.

For now, Fortnite Kicks remain a niche cosmetic for sneaker enthusiasts. If Epic wants them to be more than just a novelty, a price adjustment might be needed to make them a more popular choice in the Item Shop.
