Door Kickers 2 has been in Early Access for quite a long while, and even during that period, many players considered it great. Door Kickers is regarded as an amazing game to play in cooperative mode with your friends. The appeal of the game is able to try and simulate a SWAT operation. This very cool strategy game allows you to strategize different ways to try and carry out these operations. The perspective is top down, and it might remind some of titles like Hotline Miami. The appeal of the whole series is on its RTS elements.

Now with the release of Door Kickers 2 upcoming on February 10th, many people are hyped to see the evolution of the series. It is clear that the engine has changed, there’s more of a 3d approach when trying to render the graphics. The original title seemed to be limited to the usage of a blend of pre rendered imagery that looked neat. However, it is nice to see changes being made, whilst keeping the soul intact.

The new installment seems to be focusing on a counter terrorist force. Hence the appropriate subtitle of Task Force North has been added. There seems to be way more military emphasis in the new one, which is a nice change of pace for some. After 5 years of Early Access, it seems that we will finally get a complete version.
