Days Gone Remastered Revealed with Official Release Date

Days Gone Remastered is arriving on the Playstation 5 on April 25, 2025 with whole new features such as Permadeath mode, Speedrun mode, enhanced Photo mode along with vastly improved visual fidelity including revamped lighting and shadows, increased foliage draw distance, VRR support and more. So if you’ve missed out on the PS4 version of the game, you can pick up this souped-up re-release on the PS5 which also comes with support for the PS5 Pro. And if you’ve previously bought Days Gone on the PS4, you can upgrade to the Remastered version on PS5 for $10.

Players on the PC platform won’t be missing out on the new features either as Sony has confirmed all the new gameplay modes and additions will be available in the form of the $10 Broken Roads DLC. And if you’ve never played Days Gone before, you can pick up the newly Remastered version on the PS5 for $49.99 with Pre-Orders starting tomorrow which grants up to five in-game unlocks.

Days Gone Remastered is part of Sony’s initiative of bringing acclaimed titles from the PS4 era to the PS5 with technical upgrades and other gameplay refinements. Horizon: Zero Dawn Remastered and The Last of Us: Part 1 Remastered are some of the games that have been re-released for the new console with added polish and gameplay features.

The upgraded version of Days Gone also sees a completely new survival-based arcade mode named Horde Assault which pits the player against incoming waves of enemies including vicious survivors and evolved Freakers. This mode offers a unique and tense take on the familiar Days Gone gameplay loop and keeps the players on their toes all the way through.

Then there’s also the Enhanced Photo mode which is a delight to all the virtual photographers out there–offering a plethora of tweaks and settings such as time-of-day and new logo options, this mode is sure to please anyone who enjoys taking stunning in-game photos.
