If you’ve been sitting on the fence for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, now is the time to jump in for free. Activision is inviting players to try multiplayer and Zombies mode for free from February 6, with the trial period running through February 10. The limited-time trial offers a more-than-generous helping of content, introducing new recruits alongside welcome-back returns for Season 2’s newest updates.
The trial features 10 multiplayer maps, encompassing the more recent additions of Lifeline, Dealership, and Bounty. Players can jump into a number of modes, such as fan favorites Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, and Kill Confirmed, along with the all-new Overdrive mode. On the Zombies side of things, players will be able to experience Liberty Falls and the latest Season 2 map, The Tomb, though Terminus, one of the original launch maps, is conspicuously missing from the rotation.
One of Black Ops 6’s biggest selling points has been its enhanced movement system, dubbed “omnimovement,” that allows players to sprint, slide, and dive in any direction. The game has also been praised for returning to round-based Zombies, a mode that some long-time fans felt was missing in recent games. With the free trial, players can experience for themselves how those changes enhance the game.
Surprisingly enough, Activision isn’t providing any discount on Black Ops 6 to trial players. But with Season 2 having only just begun, there’s still ample space for mid-season patches and possible special offers further down the line.
For the time being, if you’ve been interested in Black Ops 6, this weekend is a solid time to get in on it. If you want to try out the new maps, play Zombies with your friends, or determine if the omnimovement system is as fantastic as everyone says, no harm in trying the free access out—just be sure to log in before February 10.
