Bean Beasts is what you would get if you try to combine Pokémon with Tower Defense games and then put it on PC without announcing anything. It seems that there is a trend with indies, many of them release in very quick succession, only a few make it to the top. This does not mean, however, that games that go unnoticed are actually bad ones. In fact, many times this is often proven untrue. CrossCode is an excellent example of an amazing game that just went under the radar of many. We at Infinite Start will cover this demo that nobody talked about.
Bean Beasts is a strategy game, primarily a tower defense. When you combine this with popular formulas such as monster collecting, you actually end up with an interesting concept. Indie games are special in their own way to create new ideas. Being able to come up with such a smooth combination is usually what they are known for. However, there’s a lot of very creative people in an already overloaded market, which leads to lack of support.
We can hope that Bean Beasts does not suffer this fate of being forgotten. So we come to announce that a playable demo exists for anyone interested. This new game actually nails down a combination that seems unlikely. Creatures evolving merges so naturally with upgrading tower defense builds that it almost feels as if it always went that way.
One way to ensure games like these aren’t forgotten, is the wishlist feature in the Steam page of each title. By using it, you are actually giving a boost to the creator of the game, allowing them to reach out to more people. As we believe that Bean Beasts is quite an interesting take on an overdone genre, it would be nice to at least try out the demo for yourself and see how you like it.
