Apex Legends continues its mad crusade to ban Linux users

It is clear that the priorities of Ubisoft line up with getting Kernel level access to all of your systems. Couple this with the fact that Live Service titles are often soulless experiences, and you have a recipe for people jumping ship. Apex Legends continues its mad crusade against Linux users. Unfortunately, there is people still hooked to this Live Service, and the need help to be free. We at Infinite Start will tell you what’s the plan for Linux users.

Sunk Cost Fallacy

Just like gambling, Live Service titles pull you in to keep you playing forever, until the game closes down. Along with this, the plan of these games is to take the most amount of money possible out of your pockets. Being skins, pay to win features, along with a mountain of other deceptive but tempting elements. There is a reason these sort of games are mostly banned or limited in European countries, they are gambling with another coat of paint.

Apex Legends is much to the like of other hero shooters, and it in fact feels like a clone of Valorant. In the ever sloppy seas of Live Service, one has to copy and ripoff to remain on top of their game. After all, quality does not matter in this type of titles, as long as they can push people to spend enough in cosmetics to remove the ugly default looks. Apex Legends is the last remaining ship to win the battle against Ubisoft.

It does not matter how much time you have invested in the game, a sinking ship is a sinking ship, all Live Services are time bombs. There’s myriads of other amazing indie titles that are very cheap and do not want to breach your privacy by installing malware on your systems. Users have the choice and capacity to break free from abusive anti-consumer practices, and they have to unite to help others break away. Apex Legends is just another dead service.
