To examine the performance and connectivity of the upcoming Elden Ring Nightreign, publisher Bandai Namco is scheduling a closed Network Test ahead of the game’s official launch. The Network Test will take place in mid-February and will offer players a chance to experience the highly anticipated title firsthand and give them a taste of what’s to come from the latest entry in FromSoftware’s Action RPG lineup of games.
This will also give players access to several of Elden Ring Nightreign’s co-op elements where gamers will be able to team up in squads of three as they try to survive across a three-day, three-night cycle in the game. During their playtime, gamers will also go up against increasingly difficult bosses and other enemies in Elden Ring Nightreign which will give them sort of an extended first look of what the game is supposed to deliver when it finally releases this year.
Bandai Namco describes the Network test as a “preliminary verification test” which will provide the publisher “various technical verifications” of the upcoming game’s online systems ahead of it’s release date. This will also help them to make sure that the players won’t face any issues online post release as is frequently the case with many game releases where players experience server crashes and other online related problems after their launch.
Elden Ring Nightrain’s Closed Network test takes place February 14-17 on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and players can sign up here to register. The Registration will be open through January 20 at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET. Besides the PS5 and Series X|S, the game will also release on both PS 4, Xbox One and of course on the PC platform. Also players must be 17 or older in order to take part in the Registration process which also requires everyone to select their country.
The global schedule for Nightreign Network Test is as follows:
Session 1: Feb 14, 3am to 6 am PT
Session 2: Feb 14, 7pm to 10 pm PT
Session 3: Feb 15, 11am to 2pm PT
Session 4: Feb 16, 3am to 6 am PT
Session 5: Feb 16, 7pm to 10 pm PT
“At the end of each night, players will face a powerful boss and, if victorious, awaken to bigger challenges. Each session will culminate in the third night when they must face off against the chosen Nightlord,” says the game’s description.
