Microsoft May Bring “All Their Big Games” to the PS5 in 2025, according to Industry Analyst

Dr. Serkan Toto of Kantan Games believes 2025 could be the year when Microsoft finally goes “all-in” on bringing many of it’s Xbox games to other platforms, which includes the PlayStation 5.

In a recent interview with GI.biz, Toto stated that Microsoft’s incentive for this move may be due to a variety of reasons, including the huge lead of the Playstation in the current Marketplace along with helping to pay for it’s massive buyout of Activision Blizzard earlier. In fact, the publisher has already begun to launch some of it’s titles on the rival platforms, but Toto believes 2025 could very well see them doing even more of it.

“2025 might be the year where they go all-in,” Toto said. “The $69 billion Activision Blizzard deal, rising costs across the board, the power of forever-titles, the huge lead of Sony, and other factors will likely leave Microsoft no choice but to bring all their big games to PS5 early, including blockbusters such as Gears of War: E-Day or Perfect Dark.”

Back in early 2024, Microsoft did a surprising announcement which saw the publisher bringing some of it’s first-party games for launch on other platforms, which include titles such as Sea of Thieves, Grounded, Hi-Fi Rush, and Pentiment. Though Microsoft was already one of the biggest publishers on both Playstation 5 and Nintendo Switch, thanks to the massively popular Minecraft series. And after the acquisition of Activision Blizzard, Call of Duty which is another industry Juggernaut, is now under the Microsoft fold as well which the publisher continues to release on the Playstation platforms alongside the Xbox Series X|S.

Another huge Xbox title that’s on it’s way to be launched on the Playstation is the recently released Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, which is set to arrive on the PS5 in Spring 2025. Also, some rumors suggest that Microsoft may be bringing a Halo: Combat Evolved Remaster Project on the PS5 as well.
