GTA 6 will be ‘Breathtaking’, Take-Two Interactive CEO states

The most anticipated title of the Year, Grand Theft Auto 6 by Rockstar Games is set to release in fall 2025. And in a recent interview with Conner Mather, the CEO of Take-Two Interactive Strauss Zelnick spoke on the upcoming Open World title briefly as well as on the enormous success of GTA Online. Regarding the upcoming game, he stated, “I think it’ll be breathtaking.”

In the interview, Zelnick also spoke about the massive popularity of GTA Online over the years, which is something they hadn’t expected. He further mentioned that by now, Grand Theft Auto 5 has surpassed 205 million units in sales figures. Here’s the full interview on Youtube.

He also talked about how important feedback from the players are to the franchise while also discussing the role of the creative process that goes into making these great games and how it all impacts the team. The interview is certainly worth watching for anyone who’s a fan of the iconic franchise.

Also, as part of the Weekly Update for Christmas, GTA Online has brought several new changes to the game which includes the entire landscape being covered in Snow that will remain up to January 2, 2025. The Update also includes a slew of new bonuses including 2x bonuses on Garment Factory passive income, Dispatch work, Pizza delivery along with many more exciting additions.

It also features a host of new limited-time costumes like the Yeti, Gooch, and Snowman outfits where the Yeti and Snowman outfits can be obtained by killing the Yeti and collecting all the snowmen, while the Gooch outfit can only be obtained by killing the Gooch. It’s also worth noting that this particular update might be the last Christmas Update for GTA 5 Online.

In other news regarding Rockstar’s upcoming Open World title, former Voice Actor Johnny Ray Gill, who has previously worked on both Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, has hinted at his involvement in the upcoming GTA 6.

GTA 6 is set to release on Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in fall 2025, with speculation that it will later be available on the PC platform as well.
