Fortnite Introduces Festival Instruments as Pickaxes and Back Blings in Latest Update

Epic Games continues to redefine Fortnite’s experience with a new update for Chapter 6, Season 1, allowing players to use festival-themed instruments as pickaxes and back blings. This feature, inspired by the Fortnite Festival mode, has been met with widespread approval from the game’s community.

The Fortnite Festival mode has quickly gained popularity among players for its music-centric gameplay. Drawing comparisons to the iconic Guitar Hero franchise, the mode allows players to play notes on various instruments to progress through songs. To enhance this experience, Epic Games has collaborated with renowned artists such as Metallica, Lady Gaga, and Snoop Dogg, bringing licensed music and matching cosmetics into the game.

With this latest update, the festival instruments—previously exclusive to the Fortnite Festival mode—can now be utilized in the battle royale. Players can select microphones, guitars, and other instruments from their locker to function as both pickaxes and back blings. Notably, when used as a pickaxe, the instrument seamlessly disappears from the back bling slot and reappears when switched to another item. This functionality adds a layer of dynamism that players have long requested.

To make navigation easier, a new “instruments” filter has been added to the locker, streamlining customization. The feature has also received an update that redefines certain items for dual usability across the game modes. Fans have lauded the move, appreciating the creative freedom it brings to character customization.

Adding to the excitement, Fortnite has also launched a Godzilla collaboration, featuring pink and blue edit styles alongside themed accessories like gliders and wraps. The update comes on the heels of other noteworthy additions, including LEGO Fortnite: Brick Life and the nostalgic Fortnite OG mode.

This new wave of content reinforces the game’s commitment to innovation, blending music, pop culture, and unique gameplay mechanics. With these updates, Fortnite continues to set itself apart in the battle royale landscape, keeping its player base engaged and excited for what’s next.
