Fans Speculate GTA VI’s Overhauled Wanted System

With the limited information revealed in GTA VI’s 1st trailer, fans have been left curious about the game’s mechanics, new features, and even the Overhauled Wanted system that’s rumored to be a standout in the title’s franchise. Recently, GTA fans on Reddit have been speculating about the game’s Wanted system with many stating their various opinions on the topic.

In a recent post on Reddit, User clevererest_username spotted a tiny but relevant detail that most GTA fans may have missed. Notably, the Wanted system, as seen in every GTA title, is a system where players receive stars that signify the “wanted level” by the police depending on the scale of their crime. At 1 star, the police chase the player for a limited time before giving up. But with a maximum of five or six stars – depending on the title – players are up against an all-out pursuit by the police, and even the military.

With the release of GTA VI’s trailer, fans have been speculating that the Wanted system in the coming GTA title may have undergone an overhaul, which has been somewhat confirmed by a Reddit user.

“I just realised that this part of the trailer is showing off the new Wanted system,” said clevererest_username. “The cops must not have a description of the suspect, so they just drive by Jason and Lucia who are fleeing the scene of the crime the cops are headed to.”

The eagle-eyed Reddit user indeed has spotted a hidden detail which many others overlooked, and if the speculation proves true with coming leaks and future updates by Rockstar, GTA VI would offer an even more thrilling experience after its release.

That said, other Reddit users as sharp-eyed as the first provided even more information on the game’s wanted system, with one user OrganizationNo203 stating, “In one of the leaks when Jason and Lucia are robbing the diner, as they are about to leave you can see a little message pop up saying that the cops have a full description of the vehicle they used to get away. So, there could very well be a new element to the Wanted system.”

Another user Upbeat-Original-7137 says, “It’s mentioned in the GTA VI document compiled using all the leaks, Using masks will also help conceal your identity.” While the speculation of the GTA VI’s wanted system hasn’t been confirmed by Rockstar, it would clearly be a valuable and warmly received inclusion in the game.
