Dragon Age: The Veilguard is Currently Discounted to it’s Lowest Price ever for PS5 and Xbox

If for some reason you’re still on the fence for Dragon Age: The Veilguard, the game’s current 43% price discount on both Playstation 5 and the Xbox Series X|S might just persuade you to get it. Bioware’s latest Action RPG in the long running Dragon Age series is now at the lowest price it has ever been for the consoles as both Amazon and Best Buy are currently offering the game at $39.99 which is a sizable 43% slash from it’s original price of $60.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard came out in October 2024 and has seen somewhat of a polarized reception from both critics and fans of the series. While the game’s combat system and cast of diverse and intricate characters have received praise, it’s writing and plot have been criticized quite a bit by the fan base, often citing them as a stark departure from the deep and nuanced storytelling that was the backbone of all the great Bioware RPG’s till date. So yeah the game’s certainly divisive but it’s still Bioware, the makers of some of the most memorable Videogame narratives and characters, which does warrant the game a fair shot, and this timely discount may seem to provide more of an incentive for that.

In terms of Gameplay, Dragon Age: The Veilguard has been stated as pretty newcomer friendly, so if you’ve never played any earlier game from the series, Veilguard can offer a fresh start for you in the World of Thedas.

Also, despite years of anticipation behind the game, Dragon Age: The Veilguard missed it’s mark on a commercial level for both EA and Bioware, which might explain the aggressive discount in it’s price at this point, which is just about 3 months from release. While many have hailed the RPG as one of the best in recent years, the game’s commercial failure does come off as disheartening for the series.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is currently available on PC, PS5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X.
