Black Ops 6’s Archie’s Festive Frenzy Event Gets Major Change in Events Rewards

Archie’s Festive Frenzy Event was released a few days back in Black Ops 6 to serve as the Holiday event for the Multiplayer mode in the game. The Archie’s Festive Frenzy Event allows players to get Jolly Archies by eliminated players in Multiplayer matches. These Jolly Archies can be used to unveil mysterious event rewards that can be equipped by the players. From Double XP tokens to a new Sniper Rifle, there are a lot of favourable rewards for players to unlock.

But recently, Treyarch posted on X that the event rewards claimable via the Jolly Archies would be granted to all players at the end of the Archie’s Festive Frenzy Event dated January 3, “so that everyone can play at their own pace.”

From their X post, it’s clear that Treyarch is showing concern for Black Ops 6 players who would love to enjoy the Holiday by doing things other than gaming. And also, not all players have the time to stay up all day grinding for Jolly Archies to unlock in-game rewards during the festive season.

That said, there was a bug in the event during its earlier days that granted several players with all the event rewards in the game without having to play any Multiplayer matches. Certainly, this is unfair, and only if that bug didn’t happen this wouldn’t have been the current situation. Although the bug has been fixed, the impact is unrepairable and that may have been another factor that influenced Treyarch to make this announcement – just so everyone gets fair treatment.

Apart from the Archie’s Festive Frenzy Event, Black Ops 6 clearly has a lot awaiting fans in the coming months. With Treyarch trying its best to hide their excitement for what’s coming in the Season 2 of the game, the heat from the suspense gets the hearts of BO6 fans beating even faster. But one thing has been made clear by Treyarch, the Ricochet Anti-cheat system is being revamped. Cheaters dominating matches is a big issue in the game, and hopefully it would be fixed soon.
