Yakuza 0 and Kiwami Collector’s Editions Announced

What’s old is new again, as Limited Run Games has announced a physical re-release and collector’s editions for the first two titles in the Yakuza franchise. Yakuza 0 and Yakuza KiwamiKiwami is the 2016 remake of the 2006 original (2005 if you lived in Japan)—can be snagged either as individual copies or in all-new collector’s editions sporting a few fun goodies.

The collector’s editions, officially called Classic Edition, run $74.99 each and can be pre-ordered starting today. You’ll need to decide somewhat quickly, however, since pre-orders will close in one month on November 10th. Pre-orders of any of Limited Run Games’ Yakuza offerings will be fulfilled in March of next year. If you’re interested, here’s what comes with each Classic Edition.

Yakuza 0 Classic Edition

  • Physical Copy of Yakuza 0
  • PC Classic Edition comes with Steam Key
  • Spot Gloss Premium Box with Slipcover
  • Soundtrack
  • Collectible Acrylic Standee – Connects with future releases
  • Character Cards
  • Keychain

Yakuza Kiwami Classic Edition

  • Physical copy of Yakuza Kiwami
  • PC Classic Edition comes with Steam Key
  • Spot Gloss Premium Box with Slipcover
  • Soundtrack
  • Collectible Acrylic Standee – Connects with future releases
  • Mesuking Cards
  • Character Cards

Given that the pre-order page mentions collecting all seven, plus the notation on the acrylic standee (which is also an included piece of the newly announced Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza collector’s edition), it looks like we will be seeing the remainder of the Kiryu saga receive the same Classic Edition treatment on Limited Run Games. Timing for their debut has yet to be revealed.

For now, consider starting a fine collection of Yakuza memorabilia to spice up your space.
