PLAY, formerly known as Official PlayStation Magazine, confirmed their issue 46 will be their last.
Despite the low issue count, the magazine had a long history dating back to 1995 with the launch of the original PlayStation. At the time it was known as Official PlayStation Magazine, and included demo discs, along with insightful articles on a number of classics. The name continued to change to reflect new consoles before becoming PlayStation: The Official Magazine, and finally PLAY.
A more detailed overview can be found via GamesRadar’s announcement, with an even deeper dive into the magazine’s storied history appearing in the final issue.
The final issue will feature Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater on the cover, along with interviews with developers from the last several western-developed Silent Hill games, a chat with Andrew Wincott on Baldur’s Gate 3, and a “chilling element” to this final issue.
Finally, those with an active subscription will have someone from the subscription team reach out to assist with the next steps.

Sad to hear that. Still have many of my old OPM issues. No discs, though, I always passed those on to friends after I gave them a spin.
