As part of the launch of New World: Aeternum players are given a series of tasks known as the Trials of Aeternum. Players might recognize it, given a banner pops up when New World: Aeternum first launches, but they might not know how to obtain these rewards. It can also be somewhat confusing since it works a bit differently than one might assume. To make it simple, we wanted to do a brief guide on how to get these rewards, and more importantly, use them.
Each week players are given a wide variety of tasks to complete. The first week had five, the next week has six, and so forth. These rewards are community based, meaning those who don’t complete them will still earn them provided the community as a whole unlocks them.
A list of unlockable rewards, and their reward, can be found on the official website. Please note, performance is platform based, as are the rewards. Though, the only difference is color (blue is PlayStation, green for Xbox, and red on PC).
For those worried, tasks are generally centered around natural progression. Simply earning levels, playing story, and having fun should meaningfully contribute to one or more objectives.
Surprisingly, most of the items should already be unlocked by the time you log in. To find them simply open the character menu, and select change skins.
According to the site every platform completed their objectives, meaning there should be a new option under each weapon, along with a collection of unique tools. Each of these are named off of the platform, so River Blue is PlayStation, Forest Green for Xbox, and Mountain Red on PC.
While that covers weapons, the armor set is hidden in the shop. By going there and selecting Item Claim there should be an armor cache for your given platform. Collecting this will add the cache to your inventory, which can be opened for a full armor set and more.
The full set is blue rarity, and requires level 30 to use. Not a huge advantage to some, but still a solid pick up.
