The day Starfield fans have eagerly awaited is finally here— the highly anticipated Shattered Space expansion is now available on Xbox Series and PC via Steam.
In the Shattered Space DLC, players will visit the home world of House Va’ruun for the first time, exploring a fully handcrafted new location while delving into the mysteries of the followers of the Great Serpent. Fans invested in Starfield’s lore are in for an exciting journey with this expansion.
Upon arriving in Va’ruun’kai, players will discover that a massive vortex has devastated much of the city of Dazra, plunging House Va’ruun into chaos. As players uncover the truth behind the vortex, they will also learn the fate of the survivors of House Va’ruun in this gripping new chapter.
Players who purchased the Premium or Constellation Editions of Starfield will receive the Shattered Space expansion as part of their original purchase. Those with the Standard Edition can still access Shattered Space by purchasing the Digital Premium Upgrade, which also includes additional digital items such as the Digital Artbook, Original Soundtrack, 1,000 Creation Credits, and the Constellation Skin Pack.
To begin playing the Shattered Space expansion, players must first complete the introductory mission of the main quest, titled “One Small Step.” Once that is completed, attempting a grav jump to an unoccupied orbit will trigger a distress call, leading players to discover a massive star station known as The Oracle.
It’s recommended that players be at least level 35 before starting the Shattered Space DLC.
