Touhou Danmaku Kagura Phantasia Lost Now Available on Nintendo Switch

UnknownX’s exciting Touhou based rhythm experience, Touhou Danmaku Kagura Phantasia Lost, is now available on Nintendo Switch. This joins the PC version that released earlier this year.

Undertale creator, Toby Fox, and Touhou series creator, Zun confirmed a second free DLC is in the works. Contrary to the previous partnership, the two will present “striking rearrangements” of each others’ tracks.

At launch players can play over 100 tracks in Touhou DANMAKU KAGURA Phantasia Lost. Each feature customizable challenges, complete with a wide array of note designs, adjustable speed, and screen elements.

Unknown X leader, JYUNYA, added the following statement about the release.

Touhou Danmaku Kagura Phantasia Lost is a love letter from the developers and composers to all Touhou fans and rhythm game enthusiasts. We can’t express our gratitude to all of the collaborators and supporters that make this Nintendo Switch launch possible.

『Touhou Danmaku Kagura Phantasia Lost』is a Touhou Project officially approved derivative rhythm action game.
Two modes are available: the Story Mode, in which you can solve the mysteries of the destroyed Gensokyo through the Danmaku Kagura (rhythm game), and the Free Mode, in which you can play the rhythm game to your heart’s content.

Enjoy a total of 171 songs, including 68 songs from the main product and 103 additional songs distributed as four DLCs.

Game Experiences

Kagura Stage
In this mode you hit the notes at the right moment!
You can stack up combos and get a high score by hitting the notes consecutively coming through the 6 lanes.

Danmaku Stage
A totally new game experience that combines Danmaku shoot ’em up & Rhythm games!
Complete missions set for each stages and beat the stage!

Customizability to tune your rhythm experience
Change the notes’ speed, adjust the location of the combo display,
change the notes’ design, change all you want to give you a stress-free rhythm experience.

Characters

Featuring over 80 characters from Touhou Project. Characters are animated with Live2D.

Beautiful illustrations to color your game
Over 300 Mitama cards available to obtain through the progression of the game.
Amazing artists such as Yuu Kamiya (No Game No Life), Negi Haruba (The Quintessential Quintuplets), and many more have contributed to producing the fantastic works!

The only game where you can play Touhou Project Original Songs

Alongside many songs from the Touhou Project games, songs such as
“U.N. Owen Was Hero?” by Toby Fox & ZUN were written for this game! Accessible from free DLC.
