Ubisoft and developer Massive Entertainment announced today that Star Wars Outlaws will be launching on Steam on November 21, nearly a month after its initial release.
During Ubisoft’s latest financial call, the company revealed that the game’s early sales were softer than expected. In response, Ubisoft’s development teams are now focused on delivering updates aimed at improving and polishing the player experience. The goal is to attract a larger audience during the holiday season and position Star Wars Outlaws as a strong long-term success. As part of this strategy, the game will soon be available on Steam.
Additionally, Yves Guillemot, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, said “Our second quarter performance fell short of our expectations, prompting us to address this swiftly and firmly, with an even greater focus on a player-centric, gameplay-first approach and an unwavering commitment to the long-term value of our brands.
Star Wars Outlaws is currently available on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC through the Ubisoft Store. Be sure to check out our review for our in-depth thoughts on the game.
