Destiny 2′s yearly Solstice event has started, and with it a new grind for armor and its beloved glow effect. While players initially hated the perceived massive grind, seemingly takes hundreds of quests, it can actually be completed relatively easily. At least with the right tactic.
After starting the quest, and unlocking the Solstice Forge players will be asked to obtain Silver Leaves. There are a couple easy ways of doing this, like public events, but I personally think the best method is fighting Kalli in Last Wish.
Each successful kill will give six Silver Leaves. With the cheese it’s entirely possible to get hundreds in a relatively short amount of time.
In addition to Kalli giving easy Silver Leaves, she counts as a raid encounter. Two kills, which can easily be done in 5 minutes, will give 50 progress towards each armor piece. As a result, three successful bounties are enough to unlock the armor and its glow.
Since these can be obtained for every slot, it works best if you get multiple at once. Though it also works one at a time for those that prefer it.
Since some players might not be familiar with Kalli, this is the first boss found in Last Wish. She has extremely low health, and super simple mechanics. Most groups will opt to cheese her, which is a tactic where players use Anarchy to lock her by the plate next to spawn, though some will opt to do the mechanics.
In the event a group does the mechanics, simply look in the middle, and there should be six icons in three matching pairs. Pick a symbol, and then go to the plate located somewhere in the room. While standing on it 2/3 of the plate will have an orb that will instantly kill you if you’re standing on that segment. After a period of time a Knight will spawn, and after killing it you’ll remove that symbol from the middle.
Removing all six will unlock all the doors during Kalli’s damage phase. Simply shoot her, wait until she starts summoning something, and run to a room. This will continue three times, which should be more than enough to kill her.
